Q.I Planted My Rose Of Sharon Too Close Together! When Is Best Time To Transplant In Zone 6b?

We planted them in late spring but only about 2 feet apart 🙁 Rookie mistake. I guess my only option is to transplant one? If so, what is best time to do so in Zone 6b? How will I know when it is dormant? Thank you for your help!!

Rose of Sharon will lose all its leaves in the fall so you will know when it is dormant. It is best to transplant in the fall, with spring being the next best time. Here is how:
