Q.I Live In Maryland In Hardiness Zone 7a. What’s The Earliest I Can Start To Plant Annuals This Year?

Zone Upper Marlboro, MD | Daniel.w.alexander@gmail.com added on April 3, 2023 | Answered

We have an event in early June and my likes to have a month and a half growth on annuals, supertunias patunieas, sweet potato vines , impatients, coleus. Mostly shaded yard and a lot of containers.

All of these will be considered sensitive, and will need to be planted when ALL threat of frost has passed. My recommendation will be to start inside under lighting, well, before establishing outdoors, though.

This article will contain many links to the annuals that you intend to plant, and will help on your endeavor:
