Q.taking care of plants

Zone Capel Surrey RH5 | moira.leahy added on May 2, 2015 | Answered

I hope I don’t sound like an idiot, but I know absolutely nothing about plants. When you buy a plant in a pot (I have just bought a lemon plant from Lidl), it is quite small about 8 inches in height. My question is, should you always take them out of the pots they are in or should you put them straight into a container/ground? I also have an arbour at the bottom of my garden. Would it be good to place container there maybe, as it would be sheltered but gets the sun for part of the day? And finally, please can you tell me the best soil to buy from garden centre?
