Q.I have two Rose Bushes

mailman3529 added on May 20, 2012 | Answered

I need to plant two Rose Bushes and was wondering how they would do in full Texas afternoon and evening sun. I am looking at about 3 to 6 hours of 85 to 99 degree temperatures.

The rosebushes should do just fine. When you first plant them it would be best to give them some artifical shade from the most intense heat of the day. Just until the root systems get going good, at least a month. Otherwise the root system will not be well developed and the top part of the rosebushes will suffer and could shock and die. Give them some root stimulator and Super Thrive mixed into the water when watering them in. Do the same thing for two or three waterings to help them get going well.
