Q.i have TKN value in soil of 2,000 mg/Kg

Zone Northern Vermont | Anonymous added on September 22, 2015 | Answered

Is this normal? The soil was tested for nitrogen – nitrate and nitrite were not detected but TKN was present at 2,000 milligrams per kilogram. Is this TKN value within background range? I would like a frame of reference. Is this concentration typical of septic waste, manure or average soil?
