Q.I Have Seen Ants On My New Guinea Impatiens.

I have seen some holes in the leaves and signs of gnawing on some of the leaves. It is not critical yet but I am concerned. they are in 3 12 inch pots and they are divine mixes and looking beautiful. PS I am not a big fan of of herbicides.

There's a possibility that the ants are feasting on honeydew produced by aphids on your impatiens. Examine your plants carefully, especially the undersides of the leaves. Ants "farm" aphids. Give your plants a treatment of neem oil and see if that doesn't fix the problem.
