nese I planted it in the pot in this huge ceramic pot pot with steorfoam below and lots of earth around it. Lately some of the leaves have yellowed ,I usually only water once a week .i lowered the earth around the crown in case it was too high ..it is near a hvac air conditioner but so is my huge calla lily which is flourishing .should I take it out of the pot and plant it in the earth.is the situation not ideal? can send a photo .the chines pot is over 10 inches across and 14 inches deep .Can’t download my photo from photo library .

It may be overwatered. I'm not clear if this is a pot within a pot or it is planted in the Chinese planter. If it's a pot within a pot, When you water, do you take the inner pot out and pour out the water that has drained? If not, be sure to do that so the water is not absorbed back up into the plant, which can cause root rot. If the plant is inside the Chinese planter, there could be water collecting around the roots, causing root decay. They need well draining soil. When you say "earth" are you referring to the ground outside? If so that is too heavy for indoor plants and contains insects and other organisms. I would repot the plant in a lightweight commercial potting mixture.
