Q.garden placement
I have just moved into a bungalow and will be giving up my allotment. Where should I put my veggie plot in my new garden?
I have a northwest garden (I think this is correct). The sun rises at the front right hand corner. My problem is where I want to put my plot (on the left) there is a 6 ft solid fence. Currently, the sun does not get to the farthest edge of the plot until 12 am. When we had a frost, this was the last area to melt.
Do you think (know) in the growing season there will be enough sun? I would like to grow beans, sweet corn, kale, pots, fruit bushes, rhubarb, etc. I know I have to downsize.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Jean
You will want to choose a location with a minimum of 6 hours of full sun, 8 hours is better.
