Q.I Have Ants On My 1 Year Old Goji Berry Plant.

I noticed there are quite a few ants (100+) and they are making nests under the leaves and also a very small insect along side them. A couple leaves are chewed up but the plant looks healthy. Are ants bad for my plant? Thank you
