Q.I Have An Invasive Grass In My Lawn And Cannot Identify It?

Zone Wantage. Oxfordshire | catherine Robinson Slater added on April 18, 2020 | Answered

The weed has a very dense network of underground roots with hubs spreading new shoots. They are deep and strong tubers. I do not think it is couch grass as it has a distinct leaf with a rib up it’s middle. Could it be a variety of couch grass? I hope you can help me identify it. I have taken up most of my back lawn by digging it out. Thanks Catherine
