Q.I Have A Very Large Bird Of Paradise That I Planted From A Pot That Is Now Growing In My Yard. It Produces Flowers But I Tried Ha
rvesting seed and didn’t find any. Does the flower need to be completely dried out before it will seed? I have a few flowers that are now blooming at the base of the plant which will make it much easier to access.

If you want seeds, do not deadhead the flowers. Once the flowers die, seed heads should form. They will turn brown and dry when mature. Fresh seeds will germinate best, but wait till the seeds are black to harvest.
