Q.I Have A Southern Magnolia Tree And Would Like To Know How Long A Bloom Ususally Lasts On The Tree.

I had my first bloom but it turned brown starting the second day. It has been extremely hot here in Texas lately. I would like to know if I need to move it to a shadier spot. Right now it gets sun until about 2 or 3 PM.

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see what, exactly, is going on. It sounds like bud rot. Typically, this is due to moist soils that do not have a chance to dry out on top. This will need the attention of a fungicide. Copper based fungicides are most effecting, especially since this tree is not for human consumption. Here is an article that will help:
