Q.Hydrangea appears to be wilting

Zone ll28 4lw | Anonymous added on July 15, 2016 | Answered

It is in full flower and has been healthy. I have kept it watered but to look at the plant, it looks as though it needs watering. The plant is over two years old and is a Dark Angel. Please help.

Is the soil well draining? Is the water draining away to quickly so the plant cannot take up moisture?
Is the ground soggy?
Sometimes Hydrangea will wilt in the summer heat and then recover at the end of the day. You may need to give them a bit more water if your weather is very dry or temperatures are above 85 degrees.
