I purchased a potted winter green plant. Curious, can I put it outdoors?

Your area is Canadian zone 3, which is our USDA zone 2. Wintergreen is likely not hardy in your area, outdoors. You may have to keep in indoors during these colder months.

What you can do in the future, is propagate some off into a new plant, and make a few of them. Plant a few outdoors and see if they can, by chance, survive in your area. Sometimes, plants can surprise us by surviving where they aren't supposed to.

Just do not do this with your main plant.
