Q.I Am Trying To Identify A Plat That Is Taking Over My Lawn,

Hello, I have a strange spine-like plant this is about 1 1/2 inches long and it is slowly taking over my lawn. I have tried to identify this plant but so far no luck. Are you able to identify this for me and offer a suggestion on how to control it. See photos below. Many thanks. Mike T.

It probably belongs to the genus of Sedum or Crassula.
