Q.Hydrangeas

Zone Indianapolis, Indiana | jtpeterson added on April 24, 2018 | Answered

I know I need to add Soil Acidifier to my Hydrangeas this time of year. In my garage I found a solution (Green Light) Iron and Soil Acidifier – can I use this mixture on them? It’s lists other plants I have on the label but I see nothing about Hydrangeas and don’t know if they can tolerate the Iron. Thank you.

This does help, but you will still want to use a good all purpose fertilizer. You just will not need acid loving food, as you are providing the acidic environment. I would test the pH, so that you can see how much that you need to add to get to your target pH.
