Q.Hydrangea That Doesn’t Bloom

My hydrangea is 10+ yrs old, has never bloomed, and is trimmed back per your instructions in fall. Lovely leaves, bush about 4-5 ft tall by end of summer – NEVER a bud nor blossom. . . I don’t even know what color it is. What is wrong with it?
