Q.How, When And How Much Shallot Greens Can I Harvest?

hi! How should I harvest shallot greens? they are popping up despite very cold may here in june: how much can I cut off? down to near ground level? when (how early in year, how late) can I harvest greens? should I leave a certain portion uncut? thanks a million!

You should strive to cut no more than 1/3 of the leaves from an individual bulb at one time. This way the plant has enough leaves to collect light.

Usually, you can start around the 30 day mark.
