How To Properly Remove And Kill Possible Wisteria Trunk And Vines So It Doesnt Come Back.

It’s taken over my back and side yard, killed trees and split my back porch concrete slab completely in half! Coming from neighbors yard, already spoke to him for help. Vines range from small to 2-4 inches in diameter. They’re on and below ground. Chopped the trunk in half with ax, took forever!Sprayed weed killer on cuts trunk and all ground and tree vines I cut. Been cutting and pulling up the vines one by one, above and below ground but it’s endless! Am I doing this right to keep it from coming back? Remove all vines completely and dig up trunk?
