How to prevent an indoor hyacinth bulb in water from drooping

I received a pink hyacinth as a gift and instructions state to turn the one-quarter everyday so it will grow evenly which i do however it is drooping. Do I need to pot it in soil or how can I prevent the drooping.

Your hyacinth may simply be going into a natural stage of dormancy.
