Q.How to Kill Crepe Myrtle

Anonymous added on June 3, 2011 | Answered

I cut down my crepe myrtles. They’re too big for where they are planted, but new growth keeps coming up. Growth also keeps growing from all the roots they send out. What can I kill the growth with, as they are too big to completely dig out?

Cut the suckers and paint the fresh cuts with concentrated Round-up. The tree will suck the Round-up into its system and kill it. It may take a few applications, but will eventually kill the roots.
