Q.How to Grow Peppers

Anonymous added on May 24, 2011 | Answered

I have grown Marconi red peppers in my conservatory from seed and they are about 6 weeks old and doing well. I want to transfer them outside soon. They are about 6 inches high now. When should I move them from the lovely warm conservatory? Will they grow well in tomato grow bags, as they will be along a fence, or will pots be better? Also, will my cavalier peas be ok this way?

As long as temperatures are staying consistently above 50 F (including at night), they can be moved outside. You will need to harden them off though. This article will explain how to do that:

They should be fine in bags or containers, as long as you provide enough water for them.
