Flacourtia indica can be grown outside in hardiness zones 10 to 11. It prefers a rich, but well draining potting soil in full to part sun. Container plants need watering more frequently than inground plants so check the soil often and water when soil begins to dry. Fertilize three times a year with a balanced, slow release product. When the tree becomes root bound, move it into a one size larger pot. The small fruits are good eaten raw or used to make preserves. In some areas it is considered invasive so check with local regulations before growing.
