Q.How To Grow Good Ulluco?
How should I prepare the soil? I’m in Zone 6b, and have some shady spots that might not get as hot in the summer. I assume I should try it there since we do get 90+ degree days–one never knows just how many in a row–from July to September.

You can try it, of course, but it doesn't tolerate heat. Anything consistent over 80 degrees F will kill it or send it into dormancy. But it needs full sun to produce properly. It does best in the Northwest U.S. or coastal California.
