Q.How To Bring Plumeria Out Of Winter Storage
I followed directions to store my plumeria for the winter, now I’d like to start it growing again. All I have is an 8″ stalk. It’s been kept in a dark shelf in a closet.

If it has not been rooted, you will need to start the rooting process. You can fill a one-gallon nursery container with soil for cactus and succulents or use regular potting mix with one-third perlite. Fill the pot up to 1 inch from the top. Moisten the soil. Dip the stick in rooting hormone and tap off the excess. Then insert the stick into the moistened potting mix about 3 inches. Do not water again till the top of the soil is dry. Then add 1 cup of water a week (or when soil is dry) till leaves appear. If nighttime temps are consistently in the 60s you can keep it outside protected from rain while it roots. Otherwise, you can keep it indoors on a heat mat till temps are suitable outside.
