Water indoor yucca plants only when the top inch of soil is completely dry. Also, do not allow it to stand in water, as this will lead to root rot. Outdoor yucca plants rarely need water as they are very drought tolerant. However, you can water them during drought-like conditions if they are extremely dry.

I have put a mulch around my yucca to help it through this blinding heat we’re having in U.K. it has produced a huge gorgeous flower spike I don’t water it 1 or 2 times a week tops
