Q.How Long Do Bulbs Take To Show Any Growth

Anonymous added on June 1, 2011 | Answered

I have just ordered a bulb, and the name of it is, Eucomis bi color ‘Pineapple Flower’. I planted this bulb about 4 weeks ago, along with other bulbs the same day. They are all growing well except for the one I mentioned. There is no growth at all and it was planted to specific instructions it came with. Could you please give me some advice on this particular product or even a time limit as to the growth on the bulb?

Some larger bulbs take more time to grow. If it hasn't sprouted yet and you just can't stand it, dig around the bulb with your finger and investigate. You don't say where you're from, but in my neck of the woods, these bulbs are a favorite of chipmunks.
