Q.How Do I Treat My Maple Trees For Bark Disease And Canker
My red maple has branches dying and a large canker on the north side. How do I treat this? Will my tree dye? Also, my canadian cherry has limbs dye every year and I cut them off. it started as a triangle shape and is now the shape of a Y. It’s awful. Can you help? Thank you, Tonya Montgomery

It seems that your soil is bacterial. Perhaps the area remains too wet without an adequate period to dry out. You can try using fungicides, but prevention is often the best way forward. Feeding the soil can help, after a soil test reveals what is lacking.
