Q.How do I take care of a kumquat tree during winter?

Zone 32303 | Anonymous added on December 25, 2019 | Answered

I live in Tallahassee, FL, and the weather tends to get rather cold during winter. With the latter in mind, how do I take care of my kumquat tree so that the cold doesn’t kill it?

They are hardy in zones 9-10 so you are borderline. Mulch it well and it should be OK. In fact, these trees survive where it is far too cold for most citrus. This article will help you to care for these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/kumquat/growing-kumquat-trees.htm
