Q.How Do I Grow A Philodendron Clipping
i have tried taking a trimming and putting it in water. in about 2 weeks it will die eventhough it starts a new leaf i have tried taking a trimming and putting it in soil. in less than 2 weeks it dies – sometimes it starts a new leaf and sometimes it doesn’t. i read an article that leads me to believe that what i have is devils ivy and not a philodendron. but regardless – i’d like to know how to get a trimming to grow. thank you for the help.

Most often, a cutting will fail due infection or overwatering. Whether it is a vining Philodendron, or a Pothos, the same process will apply.
