Q.How Do I Get Rid Of Sweat Bees In Potted Indoor Plant
I believe I have sweat bees coming from an amaryllis that has bloomed indoors in a pot. We have found 3 live sweat bees in the house and 2 dead bees on the ledge that the plant is on. I also see small insect activity in the soil. The plant was outside last season, I pulled the bulb cleaned it off, put into the closet and replanted end of December.

You can either repot the plant in fresh potting soil or treat the soil with an insecticidal soap. You can also treat the leaves with an insecticidal soap. For instructions on treating the soil see the article on getting rid of ants in potting soil.
