How Do I Care For A Mock Orange Shrub?

It’s in a very sunny area with good drainage, but it always looks like it’s dying. A lot of dead branches and rarely blooms, if at all. Not sure whether to give up on it or keep it going. I have had for several years now. My family had one and I always loved the blossoms.
