Q.How Did Orchardsgrass Get Into My Yard? Can I Get Rid Of It? I Normally Have A Beautiful Lawn Of Bluegrass.
All of a sudden my yard is full of orchardsgrass. I have no idea how it got there or how to get rid of it. No one in the neighborhood has it. Is there a chemical that won’t kill my once beautiful yard?

If you have overseeded recently, that may be how your lawn was contaminated. You can hand dig, or one source suggested using a shovel then immediately sodding or seeding the area. For chemical control, only glyphosate (Roundup) is available to consumers. It is nonselective, so you must spot apply very carefully. Companies with certified pest applicators can treat with a selective herbicide.
