Q.How can I kill the roots to a Sago Palm?

Zone Houston Texas | Queensusieq added on August 6, 2014 | Answered

I had a couple 9-year-old Sago Palms removed last night and need to know what I can put on the area where there is still some roots. I have a dog and did this to protect her. I don’t want them to come back. This is one of the two Sago Palms the other one is down to the left of the picture along the fence too! What can kill the roots?

You can treat the stump as in this article under killing tree roots by herbicide, and cutting down: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/tgen/how-to-kill-a-tree-killing-trees-in-your-garden.htm
