How can I keep the squirrels from eating my hens and chicks

Squirrels take or eat my hens and chicks. They disappear.

Yep! Just about everything will eat them, so you may have more animals visiting your buffet than you realize!

One good suggestion would be to use bloodmeal, which will attract predators, and keep away prey animals. Hot peppers made into a spray works pretty well, too.
