My Philodendron, which is about 15 years old, has started developing brown spots on leaves and some leaves have a yellow tint along the edge. Neither have shown in past. Suggestions or comments on possible problem or how to treat?

This could be a watering issue, a disease, or a problem with salts or excessive fertilizer in the soil. If the brown spots look like concentric rings, it is most likely a disease, and the affected leaves should be removed (as long as it is on a limited number of leaves).
