Q.Honeysuckle turned black

Zone Greater Manchester Uk | Anonymous added on July 22, 2020 | Answered

Hi. My honeysuckle seems to have some sort of disease. It’s approximately 3 years old and has been fine every year until now. I have attached pictures.

It could be sooty mold, black spot or both. Sooty mold can be wiped off, but to eliminate it completely, you must get rid of the insects (aphids) leaving honeydew, which feeds the sooty mold. Neem oil can help with the insects and the black spot.
