Inspect the leaves of the Holly for any signs of pests or disease.

Have you had heavy rains or dry conditions?

Mulching with 2 to 3 inches of a hardwood mulch can help with moisture and temperature control.

Do make sure the mulch is not directly touching the trunk of the Holly.

Clean up any dead plant material and dispose of it, to avoid spreading any disease.
