My Hibiscus plant has quit blooming. The buds appear and then fall off.

Sometimes this occurs when a plant is being overwatered or has a nutritional imbalance. Are the lower leaves yellowing? Is the plant in a pot, and could it be root bound? These are some questions to consider.
