Ponytail Palm Trees

Q.Hi There, I Have Two Pony Tail Palms Growing In My Garden In Different Locations. One Palm Is Fine But The Other Seems To Be Dying

Without more information it is hard to judge. I do see it has to compete for nutrients with the other plants. Is the other tree planted among other shrubs?
ALso, you may be watering those other shrubs more than the ponytail palm needs. I notice references say it should be planted as a specimen tree.
