Q.Help With Small Raspberry Bush

Hello: I am a new gardener and I have a small red raspberry bush that has two large runners(?) which are probably a meter in length each and the rest is pretty very small and stubby. It is currently in a 7 gal clotch container with acidic soil (I have been waiting for the rest of the heatwave to cool off before transferring to a larger container). I want to help the rest of the plant grow. I know it probably won’t fruit until next year. Should I trim the runners or let them do their thing? Should I trellis them? Thank you for any advice you can help. I have a small apartment garden so space is limited, but i am doing by best and trying to be more confident about it. Sincerely, Erin
