Q.Help with gift of Amaryllis
My mother gave me this gift of an amaryllis after market. Was very white when I took it out of the box. Planted according to instruction. There was one bloom trying to get some light. Plant seems to be doing well, getting green in the leaves. The one shoot that had a bloom that had been trapped by the box is bent over and not looking very good. There is new bloom coming out from the center. Do I need to leave the droopy one as is/cut it off?

Once the flowers have faded, you can trim the entire stem back to the bulb with sharp scissors. If any of the blooms are unsightly (or droopy), you can go ahead and cut these too. It will not hurt the plant to do so.
