Q.Help with African Violets

Zone 16748 | Cathy Armacost added on July 26, 2018 | Answered

I have a several years old African Violet plant…. It appears to grow in tight clusters…. I’m not sure whether to re-pot it or divide it. If division is the answer, how do I go about doing it…. I am woefully undereducated when it comes to African violets and have been letting it just grow….

They do prefer to remain rootbound. Repotting these is a very careful process. Disturb the roots at all, and they will likely suffer.
