Will heating a raised bed provide earlier shoots?

Normally, the buds start growing when the soil temperature is above 45 to 50 degrees F. So, if the beds are heated earlier, it makes sense the spears would start growing earlier. You would need to maintain the heat so the temperature didn't suddenly drop to freezing. A light freeze can damage the spears.
