Q.Have You Seen Such (unusual) Malabar Root Growths
Good day to you. We’ve grown Malabar spinach in our garden for some years and just noticed large, 1-2 inch diameter, uneven dark red nodules attached to the roots on the earths surface. When broken they smell of Malabar spinach, are quite juicy but hard. We are curious and wonder if they are edible and was wondering if you might know. If this interests you we can send photos or a video.

Photos would have been helpful. It may be root knot nematode galls, so I wouldn't eat it.
