Have you ever tried Sol-U-Mel for crown rot?

Question

An acquaintance of mine had a plant with crown rot. She exposed the roots and sprayed them with a 1:5 dilution of Sol-U-Mel from Melaleuca/water and replanted in a clean pot. The plant flourished.
