Q.Have I Killed My Jasmine?

Zone BA1 3EW | Anonymous added on June 1, 2021 | Answered

We are having a new fence put up so had to move a star jasmine plant that was climbing up the old fence. It was in full flower. We dug it up cleanly and replanted it at the front of the house in good, watered compost in a very large planter. We have watered it each day since (5 days) but it now looks very sad and a little bit dead. Can I save it?

I would let the leaves fall off and regrow. It wouldn't hurt to cut it back by about half. It shouldn't need to be watered every day. Let it dry out a bit between waterings.
