Have An Apricot Tree Where We Are Renting.

Question

My husband pruned the tree and in the fall we had beautiful blossom’s looked like the beginnings of friut. The temps dropped slightly and it looks like all the fruit that was forming all dropped off and 12 inches of the branch died off? What do I do to get fruit?
