green leaves reddish underneath, branches out very tight leaves together

It's hard to say without a photo. You might try taking the plant or a photo to a nearby nursery to see if someone can identify it. There are many plants, for indoors and out, that have green leaves and reddish undersides. It could be a variety of peperomia or croton, for example.
