I am interesting in replacing my lawn to creeping thyme, I have a question about its hardiness zone, some articles online say the hardiness zone is 4-9, I live in Los Angeles, CA, zip code is 91745, I belive the hardiness zone is 9. do you think creeping thyme will be survive since summer is extrem hot, over 100F. If not, could you please recommend some groundcover that has about 1-2 inch high, evergreen plants? thanks a lot.

I even saw a source that said 10 for the hardiness, but considering creeping thyme is native to Northern Europe, 8 may be more accurate. However, it is a popular lawn substitute in California so you should be okay. I am including some alternates, however.
